Charlie Moreland camping area is in Imbil State Forest, which is just north of the Conondale National Park. We stopped in and took a few photos. We were passing by Charlie Moreland camping area on the way to Kenilworth via the Kenilworth–Maleny Road. We had a lovely time at Ballina. Here is the run-down on the excellent caravan park that we stayed in — the Ballina Headlands Leisure Park: Sites large sites for vans and tents fresh driveways and concrete slabs for vans TV cables next to van sites inside of cabins looked excellent — think the ones that I saw inside must have been recently refurbished. We recently camped at Dicky Beach Holiday Park on the Sunshine Coast. The holiday park had a full size tennis court, children’s playground, modern amenities blocks and well set up camp kitchens. The park was adjacent shops and Dicky Beach. I booked a camp site only three days before arriving, and in the last week of school holidays. The optional front and side panels for the new BlackWolf Turbo Plus 240 tent gives a very handy vestibule area under the new, larger, three-pole awning. We used it to shelter from the wind and sun, and also to store gear out of sight of prying eyes while we were away from the camp site. Various camping magazines rave about the Oztent King Goanna Chair but, quite frankly, I find the chair uncomfortable. For its premium price, I expect quality and comfort.
